2012: In her junior season, Santana started and played in 51 of the Bears’ 52 games…Scored a total of 19 runs…Attained 32 hits with six of those being homeruns… Scored back-to-back homeruns in a games against Eastern Illinois (2/25,2/26)… Boasted seven multi-hit performances in her 2012 campaign… Had two games where she batted in four runners with one being against Western Carolina (2/19) and the other being against Florida A&M (3/24)… Had a .959 fielding percentage defensively for the Bears.

2010: Made her way into the starting lineup as a true freshman in 2010…Ended up starting 33 games of the 41 she saw action in…Tied for second on the team in RBI with 19…Was second on the Bears roster with five home runs on the year…Was fourth on the team in slugging percentage (.427)… Scored her first ever run in the first game of the season against Iona(2/13)…Recorded her first start at first base against Tennessee Tech and went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI(2/19)…Followed that up with a break out performance against Ball State the next day going 2-for-3 with her first-career home run coming by way of a grand slam and then another solo home run for five RBI in a 9-1 win(2/20)…The next day against Middle Tennessee St. she went 3-for-4 at the plate with another three-run home run, an RBI double and an RBI single for a total of five RBI in the game(2/21)…Against Florida A&M (2/23) went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and an RBI(2/23)…Had an two-run double and scored two runs as the designated player against Savannah St. (2/24)…Against Belmont (4/10) went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI…Had three hits and a run scored in the double-header at East Tennessee St. (4/16)…In game two at USC Upstate (4/17) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run…Led the team with a .994 fielding percentage with just one error on the year.


High School: Played three years under head coach Jared Dickey at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga. She was a three time All-State selection…As a senior was named the 2008 Region 1-5A Player of the Year…She was a 2006, ‘07 and ’08 offensive player of the year for Lowndes H.S…Batted .426 as a sophomore, .396 as a junior and .347 her senior year…Team made the Georgia Elite 8 all four seasons and was 30-8 her senior year…Names a walk-off home run against Houston County in the 2007 sectional tournament as her best individual performance…

Was the Class of 2009’s Salutatorian…Chose Mercer because of its reputable Division I Athletics program and high academic standard…is the daughter of Debbie and Raymond and has an older brother and a younger brother...Majoring in Accounting/Finance.
